I dedicate this strip to my good friend, my co-worker, genius code monkey and marvelous musician, war-n harrison, who is 7 feet away from me as I type this, because him and his wife ROCK. Together these creative spirits make very lovely music and are known as hungry lucy. these fine creative souls gave me a nice lil plug on their entertaining and enjoyable podcast. they so nice. check out their cool behind the scenes video on their homepage as well.

I see it as a symbolic representation of the recognition that matter is mostly space, empty, weightless. Culturally speaking, a rock is quintessentially SOLID (as a rock, as it were) thus the portrayal of their effortless and repeated floatation demonstrates the author/artist’s grasp/perspective on the true nature of reality. There is a fine, fragmented line between art and physics — tread floaty.

I love me some floaty rocks! Thanks for the plug of the plug … should I plug your plug of a plug? I’m confused.
Thanks Renea for a phrase that rivals “stay loopy” …. “tread floaty” … now my new screen saver text!
Tread Loopy!
